Situated amidst the spectacular Assynt, Sutherland mountain scenery, Glenbain is a traditional shepherd’s house set in a south-facing isolated position. It is one mile from the main road and is accessible by an unsurfaced road.

Glenbain is an excellent location for a holiday in magnificent surroundings which will suit the walker, climber, botanist, ornithologist, geologist – or anyone who appreciates superb mountain scenery and likes being out of doors.

The coast is just 13 miles away, where white sandy beaches welcome you. The nearby village of Lochinver offers a good range of shops and restaurants. Loch and river fishing and sea angling are available locally. Some miles north lies Handa Island, the renowned bird sanctuary.

Key Features:

  • Sleeps four in one double and one twin room;
  • Can sleep six when using the bed settee in the sitting room;
  • Bed linen and towels are provided, plus blankets if required;
  • A cot, highchair and changing mat are available on request;
  • There are electric heaters in the bedrooms and two stoves downstairs;
  • The cottage has air Source heating/air conditioning
  • The first supply of peat and logs are provided free of charge for the stoves; more can be provided for a reasonable amount;
  • Ample parking;
  • Garden with a picnic table;
  • The Cottage has its own water supply;
  • This is the ideal retreat for those wishing for peace and tranquillity – no Wi-Fi or TV!;
  • Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed at an additional charge of £20 per dog.
